In short

Tilnur does not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect, sell or share your personal information. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you do in the app stays on your device.

What stays on your device

Your settings, favourites, bookmarks, listening history (used for Insights), downloaded recitations and your saved location are stored only on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes them.

Location

If you allow it, your location is used on your device to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. To show the name of your city, the device asks your phone’s own system service (Apple or Google) for it. Your location is never sent to us. You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings.

Notifications

Prayer alerts and the daily ayah reminder are scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved and no data is sent anywhere to deliver them.

Services the app connects to

To stream recitations and show the Quran text and translations, the app requests them from mp3quran.net, api.alquran.cloud and cdn.islamic.network. Like any website, these services receive your IP address and which content was requested; their own privacy policies apply. Nothing else about you is sent to them.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Tilnur Plus, the purchase is made and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks your subscription with Apple on your device; we do not run a server that stores it.

Children

Tilnur is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new “Last updated” date.
